EggCellence Privacy Policy

Last updated 27 October 2026

This policy explains how CSIF Global Group Ltd, trading as EggCellence (we, us or our), collects and uses personal information when you visit eggcellence.uk, send an enquiry or communicate with us about our commercial hatching egg supply services.

1 Who is responsible for your information

CSIF Global Group Ltd is the controller of the personal information described in this policy. This means we decide why and how that information is used. Our business is based in the United Kingdom.

Registered and postal address: CSIF Global Group Ltd, Fifth Floor, 167–169 Great Portland Street, London W1W 5PF, United Kingdom.

Northern Ireland office: CSIF Global Group Ltd, Office 1585, 92 Castle Street, Belfast BT1 1HE, Northern Ireland.

For privacy questions, requests or complaints, email enquiries@eggcellence.uk or write to our registered and postal address, marked for the attention of the Privacy Contact.

2 Information we collect

When you complete our enquiry form, we collect your name, company name, country, telephone number, email address, organisation type and the requirements or message you provide. Your message may include genetics or breed requirements, quantities, destination and delivery dates. We also keep relevant correspondence and records of our response.

When you contact us by email or telephone, we collect the contact details and other information you choose to provide. If you act for a business, this policy applies to information that identifies you as an individual, even where you use business contact details.

Our website and its service providers may also process technical information, including IP address, browser and device details, pages requested, referring page, access times, security events and cookie preference records. Google services used on the site are explained in section 6.

Information normally comes directly from you or from your browser. If a colleague or business representative contacts us on your behalf, they may provide your business contact details. We use those details only for the relevant business purpose and provide privacy information as required.

Please do not include sensitive personal information, identity documents, payment card details or information about other people unless it is necessary for your enquiry and you are entitled to share it.

3 Why we use information and our lawful bases

We use personal information only where we have an appropriate lawful basis under applicable data protection law, including the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.

Enquiries and business relationships: to respond to requests, discuss requirements, prepare quotations, follow up relevant correspondence and maintain supplier or customer relationships. We rely on our legitimate interests in operating our specialist B2B business and communicating with people who contact us or represent relevant organisations. We consider the impact on individuals and their reasonable expectations.

Steps towards a contract or performance of a contract: where you personally are a party to the contract, we use information as necessary to take steps you request before entering into it, or to perform it. Where the contract is with your employer or another organisation, our use of your representative contact details is generally based on legitimate interests instead.

Website operation and security: to deliver the site, investigate faults, prevent spam and abuse and protect our systems and users. We rely on legitimate interests in maintaining a secure, reliable website, and seek consent separately where required for cookies or similar technologies.

Legal and regulatory requirements: to meet obligations that apply to us, including handling data protection requests and keeping records required by law. We rely on legal obligation for those activities. Handling disputes or establishing or defending legal claims may also be necessary for our legitimate interests.

We do not use the details submitted through our enquiry form for marketing without your permission. If you separately choose to receive marketing, we use your consent for that purpose. You can withdraw it at any time by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect use of your information that was lawful before consent was withdrawn.

Fields marked as required are needed to process the website enquiry. If you do not provide them, the form may not submit or we may be unable to respond properly. You can contact us by email or telephone to discuss an alternative. Submitting an enquiry does not create a purchase obligation or sign you up for marketing.

4 How our enquiry form works

Our WordPress website uses Gravity Forms to collect and manage enquiries. Form submissions are processed within the website system and may be stored in its database. Notifications and replies may also be handled through our email systems. Necessary information may be accessible to authorised staff and technical support providers.

Submission metadata, such as the date, time, source page and IP address, may be recorded depending on the form settings. Google reCAPTCHA is used to help identify automated or abusive submissions. Using Gravity Forms does not, by itself, mean every enquiry is sent to the plugin developer; any additional data flows depend on the services and integrations actually enabled.

5 Who may receive your information

We share information only where necessary for the purposes described in this policy. Recipients may include:

Providers of website hosting, maintenance, IT support, security, backups and email services, including authorised technical support acting on our instructions.

Google, in connection with reCAPTCHA and remotely delivered fonts, as described below.

Relevant producers, veterinary or export specialists and logistics providers where necessary to investigate or fulfil your supply requirements. We limit disclosure to information needed for the relevant task.

Professional advisers, regulators, courts, public authorities or law enforcement where necessary for advice, legal compliance or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

Service providers acting as our processors must handle information on our instructions and under appropriate contractual obligations. Some recipients, such as regulators or providers acting for their own purposes, are independent controllers. We do not sell personal information.

6 Cookies and Google services

The website provides a cookie preference tool. Cookies and similar technologies may be used to remember your preferences, support site functionality and help protect the form from abuse. Where consent is required, you can accept or reject the relevant cookies and change your choice through the cookie settings control. Browser settings also allow you to manage cookies; blocking some technologies may affect functionality.

Google reCAPTCHA helps distinguish genuine visitors from automated activity. It processes technical information, which may include IP address, browser and device information and interaction signals, to assess potential abuse. It also uses cookies for its risk analysis. Google’s processing is explained at https://policies.google.com/privacy. Its terms are at https://policies.google.com/terms. If you cannot use the form, you can contact us by email or telephone.

The site also requests fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser fetches a remotely hosted font, Google receives technical request information, including your IP address and browser details. Further information is available at https://fonts.google.com/faq.

Any cookie information provided through our preference tool should describe the technologies actually in use. If we introduce analytics, advertising or additional embedded services that process personal information, we will update the relevant privacy information and obtain consent where required.

7 International processing

Our business operates internationally, and information may be processed outside the UK by service providers or relevant business partners. Where a restricted transfer is made, we must ensure there is a lawful transfer mechanism. Depending on the destination and recipient, this may be UK adequacy regulations or appropriate contractual safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or UK Addendum, together with any required assessment and additional protections.

Where EU GDPR transfer rules apply, the relevant EU transfer mechanism must also be in place. Contact us for details of destinations, recipients and the applicable safeguards, or to request a copy, subject to necessary redactions to protect confidential information.

8 How long we keep information

We keep information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected. The period depends on whether an enquiry remains active, whether it leads to a customer or supplier relationship, the time needed to deal with follow-up questions or disputes, and any legal record-keeping requirements.

Unsuccessful or inactive enquiries are reviewed and deleted when there is no continuing business or legal need. Information needed for an ongoing relationship or a legal claim may be retained longer. Technical and security records are kept for the period needed to operate and protect the site. Copies in backups are removed through the relevant backup replacement cycle. Retention applies across website entries, emails, exports and other copies; deleting a form entry does not automatically delete those copies.

9 Keeping information secure

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or loss. Access should be limited to people who need it for their work. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure; please use our contact details if you have a concern about information you have sent.

10 Your rights

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may ask us to provide access to your personal information, correct inaccurate information, delete information, restrict its use or provide information in a portable format. These rights are subject to conditions and exemptions. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

Your right to object: you can object to processing based on our legitimate interests on grounds relating to your particular situation. We must stop that processing unless we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or need the information for legal claims. You have an absolute right to object to use of your information for direct marketing.

To exercise a right, email enquiries@eggcellence.uk or write to the address in section 1. We may request proportionate information to verify your identity. We normally respond without undue delay and within one calendar month. Where the law allows an extension or pause, we will explain the reason and applicable timescale. Requests are normally free of charge.

We do not use enquiry information to make solely automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects. Automated spam checks help protect the form; please contact us directly if they prevent your enquiry.

11 Complaints and changes

You can make a data protection complaint using the contact details in section 1. Please explain your concern and provide enough information for us to investigate. We will acknowledge a complaint within 30 days and respond without undue delay. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/. Where EU data protection law applies, you may also complain to the relevant supervisory authority, including the authority where you live or work.

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our services, systems or legal requirements. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Where required, we will bring material changes to your attention.
